Today, it's definitely worth making the trip. We've had 8 cm of powder snow over the last 24 hours and 95% of the skiable area is accessible! The weather is mild, with a temperature of -2°C at 5 a.m. The snow will continue to fall slowly but surely throughout the day. What better way to maintain these beautiful conditions! The base is generally firm except for a few places in sector 7 where it is hard packed. The surface consists of powder, groomed powder, and skied powder. After yesterday’s thaw, the snow is holding up very well and the day looks set to be a good one to come and enjoy it. And the good news after this thaw is that the forecast between Saturday evening and Sunday is for snow. Due to yesterday’s freeze-thaw cycle, which softened the surfaces for excellent skiing, the temperature dropped slightly during the night and again this morning, so the surfaces are still wet or sticky in places but have mostly firmed up and hardened.
